Turns out the students already have their own plans and don’t like being co-opted and politicized by the leftist Women’s March.

A national school walk-out is planned next month by the organizers of the Women’s March to protest Congress’ lack of action on gun reform following mass shootings, The Hill reported Saturday.

Students, teachers and parents are invited to participate in the event titled Women’s March Youth EMPOWER, which will be a 17-minute walkout on March 14 at 10 a.m. The city of the country’s latest mass school shooting, Parkland, Florida, is one of the sites where a walkout is planned.

“We need action. Students and allies are organizing the national school walkout to demand Congress pass legislation to keep us safe from gun violence at our schools, on our streets and in our homes and places of worship,” the group’s website said.
