They refused Am Vets ad simply asking for people to stand for the anthem. That’s political, this isn’t, apparently.

T-Mobile’s Super Bowl commercial drew us in with its babies and Nirvana, then delivered a distinct message about pay equity, equal rights, liberty and diversity.

The ad, called “Little Ones,” features a series of babies set against a soundtrack of a lullaby version of the melody from Nirvana’s 1993 song “All Apologies.” The spot is narrated by actress Kerry Washington.

“You come with open minds and the instinct that we are equal,” Washington says, addressing the babies. “Some people may see your differences and be threatened by them. But you are unstoppable. You’ll love who you want. You’ll demand fair and equal pay. You will not allow where you come from to dictate where you’re going. You will be heard, not dismissed. You will be connected, not alone. Change starts now.”
