According to a Monmouth University poll released on Wednesday, Democrats have only a “negligible edge” over the GOP in the upcoming Congressional elections.
Where just last month’s Monmouth University Polling Institute (MUPI) polling showed a 15 point generic Democratic edge, the polling this month had Republicans only 2 points behind Democrats at 45 percent to 47 percent, solidly inside the poll’s 3.5 percent margin of error.
