The conservative America Rising PAC traveled to congressional Democrats’ campaign headquarters on Thursday to drop off bread crumbs, a stunt aimed at drawing attention to comments by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that wage increases and bonuses resulting from Republican tax cuts amounted to “crumbs” and were “pathetic.”
“$1,000 may be ‘crumbs’ to Nancy Pelosi but it makes a difference in the pockets of American families,” said Alexandra Smith, the group’s executive director, who posted pictures of the crumbs on Twitter. “She once again showed she is completely out-of-touch with hard-working Americans.”
