The Justice Department Office of Inspector General said it has found the five months of missing texts between two FBI officials who were part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into links between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Earlier this week, the Justice Department said it had lost the texts sent by FBI agent Peter Strzok to his alleged mistress Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer during a span between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017. The texts were part of more than 50,000 they exchanged over the two year period between July 2015 and July 2017.

The missing texts cover the critical period between the start of the Trump transition to the appointment of Mr. Mueller as special counsel.
