A masked suspect was caught inside a Boost Mobile store in Knoxville.
The Knoxville Police Department posted pictures of the crook on social media. It’s garnered a lot of attention seeing as the sneaky burglar was a raccoon.
According to the call, four officers were parked outside the Boost Mobile store on Magnolia Avenue and saw the raccoon “tearing up the store.”
Store owner Jake Nam,says his alarm system called him when the break in happened and he was able to watch security video on his phone.
“When I found him, he was bigger than I expected,” he said.[…]
Nam says he’s not really taking any precautions but thinks a raccoon may break in again. He says that he hopes that time the raccoon uses a more courteous way to break in without creating a big mess.
Many people are wondering what happened to the raccoon. Nam says he believes the animal is somewhere hiding in their East Knoxville neighborhood.
