Via Daily Caller:
House Speaker Paul Ryan denied reporters he’s contemplating retirement, telling reporters Thursday he has no plans to step down anytime soon.
“I ain’t going anywhere,” he said while leaving the Capitol.
His comments follow a Politico report alleging the Wisconsin Republican has been confiding in top aides and family members that he’s considering retiring before the next election cycle.
Ryan’s office dismissed the rumors, saying the reports are unfounded.
“This is pure speculation. As the speaker himself said today, he’s not going anywhere any time soon,” Ryan spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in a statement.
