What started off as a jokey meme that celebrated the close relationship between former Vice President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama is now bromance-official.

Biden made the admission during an onstage conversation promoting his book “Promise Me, Dad” to a Chicago audience Monday.

“You know all those memes are basically true,” Biden said to the crowd, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Biden called Obama his “brother” and said their relationship — and the fact that Biden is 19 years older than Obama — meant that he could “say things to him that no one else can say.”
