President Donald Trump hosted a Hanukkah celebration at the White House on Thursday – one day after recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city.
“Right now I’m thinking about what’s going on and the love that’s all over Israel and all about Jerusalem,” Trump said, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Trump drew strong applause and cheers from the crowd for his remarks as he was joined by his family, Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin, Holocaust survivor Louise Lawrence-Israels and Orthodox Rabbi Meir Soloveichik.
