Police have a very important warning ahead of Thanksgiving: Do not eat the turkeys you found behind Hannaford.
Police said several turkeys were taken out to the dumpster behind the Falmouth location. The turkeys thawed due to a mechanical failure and were thrown out, police said.
“It’s not a good idea, it’s a very bad idea. These turkeys were discarded because they were a hazard to consume,” police wrote on Facebook. “If anyone had acquired a bird from some non-conventional manner from someone you don’t know, discard and replace it.”
