This video broke overnight from Japan, accusing Trump of violating protocol and trying to kill the koi by overfeeding.
CNN, AFP, The Guardian, The Independent and other media lied outright about what happened during the koi feeding, describing it as ‘Trump suddenly decided to dump all his fish food’ or ‘Trump lost patience and dumped the food’ in the ‘precious koi pond.’
For example, here’s the Metro’s description, they can’t even spell ‘pour’ correctly.
As anyone who has ever owned a goldfish knows, fish are to be fed small amounts, which is why Trump was told to feed the beautiful fish by the spoonful.
Unfortunately this wasn’t dramatic or speedy enough for the US President, and after throwing a few spoonfuls to the fish he opted to poor the entire box of food in while Prime Minister Abe looked on in amazement
None of that was true. They were both dropping small amounts by spoon to the fish. Then Abe tossed out the remaining amount he had. And, Trump following his host, did the same. So obviously, Abe didn’t ‘look on in amazement’ since he just did it.
But for several hours, media pushed the fake video zoomed in on Trump to crop out Abe to make it appear that Trump was being ignorant and breaking protocol.
When you even have to lie about something so simple and innocent as koi feeding, imagine what else they are willing to lie about?
