CNN host Jake Tapper knocked former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday, arguing she has not examined her own performance enough when considering why she lost to President Donald Trump in 2016.
“She doesn’t seem to have done enough introspection,” Tapper said of Clinton on his show “The Lead.” He noted “a whole list of reasons” why Clinton lost and suggested that she blamed other people–like Russian President Vladimir Putin and FBI Director James Comey–too much for her loss.
“Putin didn’t tell you don’t go to Wisconsin, James Comey didn’t tell you [to] call one-quarter of the country ‘deplorable,'” Tapper said, referring to a comment Clinton made on the campaign trail about Trump supporters.
