Demonstrators gathered across the nation on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump and demand that he release his tax returns.
The protests, which came on the same day as Tax Day — the day when Americans’ taxes are due to the IRS — were collectively known as “Tax March” rallies and were unequivocally anti-Trump. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) led an “impeach Trump” chant at the “Tax March” rally in Washington, D.C., while Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Org.) warned America is “taking the gloves off to knock off the secrecy,” in reference to Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns.
But comedian Sarah Silverman stepped the rhetoric up a notch or two.
