Once again, Democrats are tossing the crazy card.
A Democrat in California — a say-no-more type of phrase, if ever there was one — has issued a fiery statement against President Donald Trump, calling on fellow crazed Democrats — a redundant type of phrase, if ever there was one — to subvert any and all White House policies, packages, proposals and programs.
Rep. Ted Lieu made the rally call while responding to reports about the ongoing investigation of Russia into Trump ties and the election.
But his statement went beyond reason. He said: “Congress cannot continue regular order and must stop voting on any Trump-backed agenda item until the FBI completes its Trump-Russia collusion investigation.”
Really? Vote on nothing that Trump wants — nothing at all?
Perhaps his statement would have more punch if he also made clear those refusing to vote would similarly refuse their tax paid pay for the day — and for each day they fail to do their job. After all, if the good congressman wants to go on strike, why should taxpayers continue to pay his salary?
It’s just this type of over-the-top rhetoric that contributes nothing to the political climate but rancor.
