A New Jersey police officer helped a dying woman fulfill her final wish by taking her to the beach one last time.

Pat Kelly, 78, of Burlington City, has a terminal diagnosis of acute leukemia. When her family asked her what she would like to do before dying, the grandmother said she would like to go the the shore.

But Kelly, who is in hospice care, couldn’t get there by herself, so her relatives asked the Ship Bottom Police Department for help, WPVI-TV reported.

On a weekend trip to Long Beach Island earlier this month, Officer Ron Holloway drove Kelly to the water’s edge.
