Ever hear a carrot scream in pain?
Via GOMN:
A new Whole Foods in New York City has a “produce butcher.”
Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Whole Foods describes the produce butcher as “an onsite team member who will cut, slice, dice, julienne, chop, and grate any produce item at a shopper’s request.”
So now people don’t have to chop their own veggies, or buy the ones that are already cut up and for sale in the store.
It’s not clear if the fresh-cut produce will cost more or if Whole Foods plans to add veggie-chopping team members to its other stores, but either way people on Twitter thought a “produce butcher” was both a brilliant idea and completely ridiculous.
