WASHINGTON — The campaign to stop Donald Trump at the Electoral College has no chance, according to a survey that polled more than 330 of the College’s 538 members.

The Associated Press, which conducted the survey, said it found only one Republican elector ready to defect. Even a leader of the anti-Trump movement, Bret Chiafalo of Everett, Washington, said the effort is a “losing bet.”

Jim Skaggs, a developer from Kentucky who worked with Trump’s father and said he’s not impressed with the president-elect, nevertheless declared he’s voting for him when the Electoral College meets Monday.

“I fully intend to vote for Donald Trump,” he said. “I think it is a duty.”
