His point being that why would Russia leave their fingerprints on the action if they actually did it? He also makes the point it benefits Democrats for Obama and his administration to say Russia did it to help Trump.

John Bolton told Fox News’ Eric Shawn Sunday night that the alleged Russian hacks of the DNC and RNC could be some sort of “false flag operation.”

Bolton, believed to be named Trump’s deputy secretary of state, joined former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and RNC spokesman Sean Spicer in casting doubt on whether the Russian government actively interfered in the 2016 election on behalf of the President-elect.
