jillstein

As we have previously reported, Jill Stein began a campaign asking for money to be able to file and pursue a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The Electoral College count has Trump at 306 with 232 for Clinton (assuming no flips). Michigan is 16 votes, Pennsylvania 20 and Wisconsin 10. Clinton would need to have all three states to flip in order to win, a virtual impossibility, particularly given the distance in Pennsylvania.

But that hasn’t stopped the desperate folks sending money to Stein.

Stein initially set a goal for $2.5 million. Once she got that, the amount was then raised to $4.5 million. Once she got that, it was raised again to $7 million.

This is how her description of the costs changed:

What happens if she gets more money than needed? Do you get it back? No, they’ll use it for ‘election integrity issues’. Like supporting her next campaign, no doubt.

Nice trick if you can get it…
