The chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) has pointed words after the party headquarters was hit by vandals two days after a nationwide election.
According to Executive Director Dallas Woodhouse, the NCGOP hung two signs outside its headquarters Wednesday night.
One congratulated President-elect Donald Trump and the other thanked volunteers who helped the Republican Party during the campaign.
“I am sick and damn tired of the ‘tolerant left’ burning our building and destroying our stuff,” Woodhouse tweeted Thursday morning with a photo of the destroyed signs.
The chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, Robin Hayes, released a statement Thursday morning.
“How ironic it is that after all the allegations about our side not accepting the election results, it’s the left taking to the streets, and causing property damage,” Hayes said. “While we don’t know who is responsible for numerous attacks on many of our offices, we sure could use some help from democrats in getting their people to behave.”
