Here’s the video of what he said.

You can see the clear message of Obama and the video, that all Clinton did, if she did anything, was ‘a mistake’, that people are making ‘just a crazy issue’ over.

But he doesn’t actually attack Comey. If you listen closely, while one might interpret his remarks as a criticism, one might also interpret it as a support, particularly in light of the remarks the day before in which Josh Earnest said Comey’s actions have not changed Obama’s opinion on him or the FBI and that Obama does not believe “Comey is trying to influence election outcome.”

But here’s how media exaggerated his statements today.

Powers herself actually exaggerates what CNN said, CNN never said that, but simply reported on what was said.

Now of course making comments, as he has in the past, claiming she did nothing wrong, or just characterizing it as ‘a mistake’ and actually campaigning for someone who is under investigating is still inserting himself in the process.

But here media is stretching what he said to something greater than it was. And if it he had actually said Comey was ‘guilty of innuendo’ then that would most certainly be an improper insertion in the case.
