It is quite cold and rainy tonight in NYC. Fortunately everyone was ok, despite the rough landing and skidding off the runway.

CNN notes Gov. Pence immediately came back to check on everyone including reporters to make sure everyone was ok.

Update:

Here’s a picture of how the plane tore up the tarmac, it could have been quite serious, the plane ended up in the grass.

Apparently the tarmac is made to absorb some of the impact, it’s a crushable concrete that apparently helped slow down the plane and that’s why it looks like that, according to those familiar with such construction. That was helpful, because what came next after where they stopped was the road.
