In the words of Wonder Woman: “Get over yourselves already!” U.S. has done more for the rights of woman than virtually any country on the earth.

Wonder Woman is facing her most millennial foe yet: online haters.

Some 2,000 protesters from around the world have joined a ThePetitionSite.com campaign asking the United Nations to reconsider the comic-book heroine as its newly appointed Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls.

“A large-breasted white woman of impossible proportions, scantily clad in a shimmery, thigh-baring body suit with an American flag motif’’ is not an appropriate spokeswoman for international gender equity, the petition says.

Asked one signer, “Is female empowerment so unbelievable that we need to choose a fictional character?”

Fifty staffers at the UN protested the Amazonian’s ambassadorship at a ceremony Friday, Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary. There, the character’s ’70s TV embodiment, Lynda Carter, pleaded with protesters, “Please, embrace her.”
