‘Wetwork’ or ‘wet works’ is a euphemism for murder or assassination. Now that is making some run off to the races speculating on what this could reference.

But February 9, 2016 was the day Hillary Clinton lost the New Hampshire primary to Bernie Sanders. Read in context, it likely is referencing that, and the crying or bloodletting in the aftermath.
