Time for a boycott by the NFL ticket holders.

A Patriots fan stepped on a Colin Kaepernick jersey during the national anthem Sunday.

The man was pictured standing on the t-shirt during a game between New England and the Buffalo Bills in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Kaepernick on Sunday played with the San Francisco 49ers against the Dallas Cowboys in Santa Clara, California.

He knelt during the Star-Spangled Banner, as he has done for the past month as a protest against the oppression of black people and minorities in the United States.[…]

The protest spread abroad on Sunday as Indianapolis Colts cornerback Antonio Cromartie knelt during the national anthem in London, United Kingdom.

The Colts played against the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Wembley stadium, where the Jaguars have an agreement to play at least two games per season until 2020.

Jacksonville beat Indianapolis 30-27 on Sunday.

Some among the crowd in London wore 49ers t-shirts inside the Wembley stadium. But some of them did not agree with Kaepernick’s stance, and others weren’t aware of his protest.

Police officer Shaun Weay, who grew up watching the 49ers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, didn’t think twice about wearing the team’s t-shirt. However he said he couldn’t support the views expressed by Kaepernick.

‘He’s a role model for people, certainly in the States, and obviously, doing that, it’s just not positive,’ Weay said.

‘Stay out of it is the easiest thing to do. Keep your opinions. If you have your own opinion, that’s fine, but keep it out of the public arena for everyone else to get involved.’
