Former president Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton have purchased the house next to their million dollar Chappaqua, N.Y., mansion for $1.16 million according to the New York Post.

The neighboring ranch-style home is 3,631 square foot three-bedroom home set on 1.51 acres. The house was originally listed for $1.18 million and was sold in August. It boasts an open floor plan, pecan wood floors throughout, a modern kitchen with high-end appliances, and an eating area with a fireplace.

The Post reports that a source said the home has the potential to be used for daughter Chelsea and her family as a retreat. Chelsea currently resides in an apartment in the NoMad neighborhood of New York City. Chelsea’s apartment cost $10 million.

“Rumor has it that the Clintons plan to use this as a mother/daughter house for Chelsea and her kids to visit on the weekends when they want to escape the city and their Flatiron digs since the Chappaqua house has a nice pool and plenty of rolling green lawn for kids to play on,” the source said.

After the Clinton’s left the White House in 1999, they moved to the cul-de-sac of Old House Lane when Hillary was running for Senate in New York.
