Ummm, no.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine suggested Tuesday that Hillary Clinton’s decision to keep campaigning despite a pneumonia diagnosis last week was influenced by the historic nature of her bid to become the country’s first woman president.
Campaigning here at the University of Michigan, Kaine told a large crowd composed largely of college students that the United States is “uniquely bad at electing women to office” and said that is one factor affecting the presidential race against Republican nominee Donald Trump.
“We’re trying to do something that’s not been done,” said Kaine, a senator from Virginia.
“Has anybody out here ever tried to do something and had somebody tell you, ‘I don’t think you’re going to be able to do it?’” he asked.
