Hillary Clinton:

1. How can you expect anyone to have confidence in you when you so clearly violated national security?

Hillary: Info was not marked. When I communicated about classified, I communicated on another system very carefully. I take it very seriously. [This is a lie, the FBI has already said she had unsecured email that were marked classified and the others were also classified by content]

2. Iraq war. How can we trust you if you voted for it when it was mistake.

Hillary: It was a mistake. But I want to be judge on totality of my record including what I did for Goldstar families [like lying about them in Benghazi]. My opponent was for it before, during and after and hasn’t taken responsibility for that.

3. I’m progressive. How do you convince us you are not a hawk?

Hillary: I view force as last resort.

4. Matt Lauer: Iran Deal, how can you prevent them from cheating?

Hillary: they were moving forward, so we formed coalition. [she has difficulty controlling sounding angry]

5. You said vets overall satisfied with VA.

Hillary: I was outraged by stories, and we need to move it into the 21st century. I will not let it be privatized, I do think there is an agenda out there to privatize supported by my opponent. I’m going to have a meeting every week.

6. Hillary: we’re not putting ground troops in Iraq ever again [but you have them in there now] and in Libya.

7. How can you make people safer from terrorism?

Hillary: we need to do a better job.

8. FBI said may have been hacked.

Hillary: No evidence that my system was hacked, just speculation. [Recent FBI release shows that the server had in fact been breached]

Donald Trump

1. What have you dealt with in your life that gives you the experience to deal with position? To send men and women into harm’s way?

Trump: I have good judgement. I was against the war in Iraq. Almost as bad was how Obama got out, made worse.

2. do you have the temperament to be President?

Trump: I got more votes than any Republican in history.

Can we afford to take risk with you?

Trump: I think you can. Look at what happened when I went to Mexico. People that arranged the trip were forced out. That’s how well we did.

3. Do you know more than the generals do about ISIS?

Trump: well under Obama/Clinton the generals have been reduced to rubble.

4. Captain (Dem): Past 15 years have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, you said you had a secret plan to defeat ISIS, what’s your plan for the future?

Trump: part of problem is we go in and don’t have a plan for the future. Iran is going to be taking over, and it’s not a pretty picture [that’s a good point]. We should take the oil, had we done that, ISIS would not have been able to use it.

5. Woman Signal Corp (Dem): is someone who served in armed services who is undocumented, what would you do?

Trump: we have to vet, I would consider that special situation and work with them.

6. Russia: 120 days how would you deescalate tensions?

Trump: I think I would have a good relationship with many foreign leaders. Obama was even given chairs in China. I would have a good relationship with Putin and Russia. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could work together with Russia to knock out ISIS?

Trump: Putin has ann 82% approval rating in his country [because he tends to kill opposition]

Lauer: do you want to be complimented by that typed of a person?

Trump: I’ll take it if he calls me brilliant. If he says great things about me, I’ll say great things about him.

7. I like what you say about supporting veterans. But how do you translate that to action?

Trump: I have a powerful plan on my website. Hillary said the problem with the VA was over exaggerated 6 months ago.

8. 20 killing themselves a day.

Trump: VA hasn’t done enough, it’s actually 22 a day.

9. How are you educating yourself?

Trump: I’m running a business, a campaign and I’m meeting constantly with admirals, generals, colonels.
