Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine claimed Thursday that Hillary Clinton takes questions from reporters “every day” and said he doesn’t see a big difference between holding a press conference and talking to the media on the campaign trail.

“You see Hillary take questions from reporters every day,” Mr. Kaine said on “CBS This Morning.” “She talks to the press everywhere she goes.”

“I don’t see what the massive difference is between a press conference and talking to the press everywhere you go,” he said. “She talks to the press a lot, and I’ve been with her when she’s talked to the press.”

Mr. Kaine said Mrs. Clinton answered several questions last month after she delivered remarks at a meeting of African-American and Hispanic journalists and that should count.

“That counts. They’re a legitimate group, and a press conference with them counts,” he said.
