There is still hope for the younger generation.
Via KRTV:
Former Roosevelt County Deputy Sheriff and current Fort Peck Tribes Division of Drug Enforcement Investigator had a “run in” with a very caring young man today.
Investigator Clay McGeshick posted on Facebook today:
Just went through the drive thru at McDonald’s, the young man at the first window realized I was a cop, He said ” Sir you don’t have to pay for your meal, I got it.”
It caught me off guard. I told him thank you for being generous and he just made my day, but I can’t take free stuff. I told him to use the money for a tip, he smiled. After getting my food, I went and spoke to a manager and told them they need to give this young man a raise and keep him on board.
The Manager advised he was new and she really appreciated me coming to her and giving a shout out to this young man.
All I got was his first name [Marcus]……with all the hatred toward LE [Law Enforcement] these days, it’s good to see a young man not being affected by it. So if you go to McDonald’s today and you see this young man at the first Drive in window, be nice to him!”
