When Kendall Wills noticed something unusual going on with an officer while stopped at a traffic light on her way home from work, she kept watching.
Georgetown, Kentucky, police officer Brandon White was pulled over on the side of the exit ramp, talking to a man. Being so moved by what happened next, Wills had to snap a photo and share the story on Facebook:
Wills described the scene:
“I saw a cardboard sign and a bag lying on the ground by [the man’s] feet. […] Both men appeared to be speaking calmly when I noticed the man on the left nod his head.
The officer then grabbed the man’s hand in both of his hands and they both bowed their heads. They stood this way for about 30 seconds. I don’t know what was said but they appeared to be praying.
Afterward they spoke a few more words and the officer returned to his car. The man picked his sign up off the ground and the officer drove away.”
