A new guidance written by the Boarding School Association urges teachers to address transgender students with the pronoun “zie” in an effort to “queer the education system.”
Teachers are supposed to learn a “new language” in order to not offend transgender students by calling them by the wrong pronoun, reports The Telegraph.
“Teachers, heads and deputy heads were asking questions about these issues and they felt they were in the dark on what was politically correct and had fears of causing offence as young people largely between the ages of 13 and 18 were questioning their gender identity,” Alex Thompson, deputy chief executive of the Boarding School Association, told The Telegraph.
