Remember the Reichstag fire? Started allegedly by a young Communist, but it gave Hitler the excuse to seize more power and purge his opponents. The purge is underway now, thousands of soldiers and judges have been arrested. 

 

 

Kurds and Alevis, another religious minority, had nothing to do with the coup, but now apparently is a good time to go after anyone that Erdogan and his Islamist minions views as opposition.
