Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes blasted ousted host Gretchen Carlson, saying her allegations of “sexual harassment” are untrue and are in retaliation to the network’s decision not to renew her contract.
“This is a retaliatory suit for the network’s decision not to renew her contract, which was due to the fact that her disappointingly low ratings were dragging down the afternoon lineup,” he said Wednesday evening in a statement.
