In a new video purportedly released by the Islamic State, an alleged ISIS fighter from the United States named Abu Isma’il Al-Amriki praises Orlando gunman Omar Mateen, who slaughtered 49 people inside a gay club. The video was released on ISIS terrorist channels on June 19 and is titled “You Are Not Held Responsible Except for Yourself.” The video alleges to come from “Wilayat al-Furat,” Iraq, which is located north of Wilayat al-Anbar, Iraq and borders Syria.
The video begins with footage showing a suicide bomber attacking New York’s Time Square, which is rehashed from a previous ISIS video. Later, a black man with an American accent praises Mateen. The man goes by the Arabic name “Abu Isma’il Al-Amriki,” which means Abu Isma’il of America.
