Apple Inc. has told Republican Party officials that it will not contribute financially or in any other way to the next month’s convention in Cleveland because of Donald Trump’s incendiary remarks about Hispanics, women and other groups.
Citing “two sources familiar with the iPhone maker’s plans,” Politico reported Saturday that Apple’s decision was “communicated privately to Republicans.”The company’s decision also differs from that of Google, Facebook and Microsoft, who will provide some services to the four-day convention at the Quicken Loans Arena.
