Took a week for Obama to order the Flag at half-staff after the terrorist attack on the Chattanooga recruiting station.

Controversy is brewing in Baldwin County. It involves a flag dispute to honor all of the 49 victims killed in the Orlando shooting.
President Obama ordered all flags at half-staff a few days ago after 49 people were killed at a club in Orlando. At least one county, Baldwin, in Alabama decided to ignore the President’s request.
Larry Williams has lived in Baldwin County his whole life.
“There should be some kind of change,” said Williams. “It just isn’t right.”
Williams is just one of the many people who live in Baldwin County who disagree with County Commissioner Tucker Dorsey’s decision not to lower the American flag to half-staff following the Orlando massacre.
“One bad apple doesn’t make the whole barrel bad,” said Williams.
Williams and other Baldwin County residents are aware of the recent negative attention surrounding the flag dispute.
“I do think everybody’s eyes are on this county because we don’t lower the flags,” said Baldwin County resident Marquice Johnson. “But there are people in this county that do care about what happens in the world.”
Commissioner Dorsey couldn’t speak with us in person, but directed us to a post on his Facebook page for reasoning as to why he chose to ignore the presidential order.
The post reads in part quote: “lowering the flags to half-staff after [a] mass shooting or terrorist event is not a valid circumstance of memorial as specified in the us flag code, adding “when the flag is at half-staff, our country’s head is figuratively held low, and quite frankly, i am not willing to hang my head down because of a terrorist attack against our people and our allies.”
