Normally, a game of fetch requires two players: man and dog.

But as this pooch shows, modern technology means dog owners get to take it easy while their best friend has the time of its life.

Footage shows Buddy, a Labrador cross, excitedly jumping up and down next to his GoDogGo self-launching ball machine.

As a ball gets released, the delighted pooch runs across the garden and fetches it.

He brings it back and drops it into the machine – which spits it straight back out again, sending him racing back across the garden.

His owner said: ‘Since being rescued, Buddy has keep obsessed with tennis balls, so the GoDogGo self-launching ball machine was the perfect new toy for him!’
