Pc Tracy Houdley, 43, faced a force disciplinary hearing accused of racially-motivated discriminatory behaviour after the male officer complained to bosses.
The racism claim was dropped after witnesses to the incident told a Cleveland Police disciplinary panel that the comments were not made by Pc Houdley because of her colleague’s skin colour or religion.
The hearing was told how Pc Houdley had asked her colleague: “Why do you celebrate Christmas? You’re a Muslim.”
