Obama says it was ‘so easy’ for the terrorist to get guns.

Omar Mateen worked in security for a government-contracted firm, G4S. He had a ‘G’ license which means not only did he have to get fingerprinted and a background check, he had to get 28 hours of training, had to be evaluated by a physician, he had to get 4 hours of training and requalify each year for the license.

But Obama phrases it as though a terrorist can just wander off the street and walk out with an ‘assault rifle’, in his words. Of course, it wasn’t an assault rifle, it was a Sig Sauer MCX, which is a semi-automatic, not full automatic, and is a one bullet per trigger pull rifle.

He then says the Mateen had a Glock ‘with a lot of clips in it’. Head desk. A clip is a device that is used to store multiple rounds of ammunition together as a unit, ready for insertion into the magazine or cylinder of a firearm. You do not have ‘a lot of clips in a Glock’.

At least that wasn’t as horrific as Alan Grayson who claimed an AR-15 could fire 700 rounds a minute.

These are the people proposing to make laws about guns for us, when they have no earthly idea what they are talking about.
