Hillary will feel the Bern in Philly.
Via The Daily Mail:
Bernie Sanders said Wednesday that his campaign ‘absolutely’ has the financial resources to compete against Hillary Clinton in California and five additional states that vote next Tuesday.
Sanders told reporters Wednesday at a press conference that his campaign ‘has a lot of momentum’ and he expects to march into the Democratic National Convention in July with the wind at his back.
Clinton campaigned in New Jersey on Wednesday but cancelled a Thursday event in favor of coming to California. Her campaign said Wednesday that Bill Clinton would also come to the West Coast.
‘I wonder why Secretary Clinton and her husband Bill are back in California,’ Sanders mused. ‘I thought we had lost and it was all over.’
Polling in California has been up and down. Two surveys that concluded on the same day came up with polar opposite results. One had Clinton up by two and another by 18.
An NBC News poll released on Wednesday had Sanders within two, as well, with 47 percent to Clinton’s 49 percent.
With surveys out suggesting Clinton was no longer solidly ahead she changed her schedule to include events in California on Thursday, including a national security speech in San Diego.
Sanders reflected on the about-face today and her odds of winning California and said Clinton ‘is maybe looking at some polling [that] would suggest otherwise.
