I have a Facebook account for a few purposes. None of my friends live in New Jersey, my profile data doesn’t say I live in New Jersey and I’ve never liked anything about the state or shared it on Facebook.

Yet today, this popped up on my feed telling me to remember to register to vote in New Jersey. The only way I can figure is that it knows my IP address and has geolocated me inside the state.

Very creepy….
