He has fewer delegates than Rubio which means he’s actually fourth place in a three man race…
Via WYKC:
Donald Trump nearly swept the delegates available in his home state of New York, with John Kasich and his distant second-place finish as the only factors standing in Trump’s way.
Trump, the GOP front-runnner for president, won 60.5 percent of Republican primary votes in New York’s primary Tuesday, with nearly all precincts reporting early Wednesday morning. Kasich finished with 25.1 percent and Ted Cruz with 14.5 percent.
But since New York allocates most of its delegates by congressional district, and Trump’s dominance was widespread across this state, his victory was worth at least 89 of New York’s 95 delegates. Kasich picked up at least five, under preliminary results. Cruz netted zero.
