As Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton made her way to a Los Angeles fundraiser hosted by actor George Clooney Saturday evening, supporters of rival Bernie Sanders threw cash at the former secretary of state’s motorcade.
The Clinton-Clooney fundraiser is expected to raise at least $15 million for the candidate, according to Deadline. The money Sanders backers threw at Clinton’s motorcade amounted to 1,000 $1 bills and was provided by Howard Gold, whose family founded the 99 Cents Only store chain.
