An Islamic State flag, a nail bomb and chemical products have been found during a counter-terrorism raid in the Brussels suburb of Schaerbeek, prosecutors say, just hours after a series of deadly bomb attacks. (more)

The federal prosecutor’s office said in a brief statement that the materials were found during house searches in Schaerbeek, where witnesses had early reported a major police operation and the closure of a nearby train station.

“A nail bomb, chemical products and a flag of ISIS were found during house searches which were carried out in Schaarbeek,” the office said in its statement, providing no other details.
