Dolores Huerta, a Clinton supporter claimed that Bernie Sanders shouted her down during the Nevada vote count at a precinct, chanting ‘English Only’ when she tried to translate for Spanish speakers.

America Ferrara also tweeted about it, although it was not clear Ferrara was actually onsite.

But that isn’t what happened, as you can tell from listening to the video.

The moderator was giving people instructions on how to go about voting. Someone calls out can they have a Spanish translator because not everyone voting speaks English. He then calls for neutral translator who speaks Spanish to come up.

Huerta goes up, at which point some yell out ‘no,no’ because they all recognize that Huerta, a Clinton supporter, is not neutral.

There is no chant of ‘English Only’ at all.

This was backed up by others on site including Susan Sarandon, a Bernie supporter.

And the problem with Huerta was not that she spoke Spanish, it was that she wasn’t neutral.
