A student was stunned to discover her mum had rented out her bedroom on Airbnb – leaving her with nowhere to sleep over the holidays.
Hannah Speed, a politics fresher and debating queen, first discovered that her mum had put her room on the global renting site just five days after she had left to go to University.
Before she left the 19-year-old’s mum made Hannah clean her bedroom and box up her things, without telling her it was because the room needed to be suitable for strangers to come and stay.
Hannah, who studies at Durham University, said: “It was only when she was FaceTiming me and sent me the Airbnb link when I realised what was going on.
