Beauty and Barber

Picked the wrong barbershop.

Via WLTX:

Columbia police say a suspect was shot and killed after being shot by victims during an armed robbery at a southeast Columbia barbershop Friday night.

The incident happened just before 7 p.m. at Next Up Barber and Beauty on Fort Jackson Boulevard, which is across the street from the Cross Hill Market.

According to police, at the time of the incident, several customers were inside, including children.

Police say two armed men wearing masks entered the store and demanded money. Offices say two of the victims had concealed weapons permits and shot at the suspects, hitting one of them multiple times.

The suspect who was wounded ran from the business, but collapsed outside. The other suspect escaped.

The injured suspect was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

None of the victims inside the store were hurt.

Investigators say they’ve been able to determine that one of the suspect’s weapons was stolen from a South Carolina home back in 2012.
