Blizzard party game: Name five movies you’ve seen directed by Spike Lee. Bet you can’t name one. (Malcom X doesn’t count, everybody has seen that one)
Via Twin Cities:
Spike Lee says he never called for an Academy Awards boycott, despite all the headlines saying so.
The director appeared on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, and said he’ll be going to a New York Knicks game on Oscars night. Earlier this week Lee — and several others — criticized the Academy for not including any actors of color in the four major categories this year.
“Here’s the thing, I have never used the word boycott,” Lee said. “All I said was, my beautiful wife Tonya, we’re not coming. That’s it, then I gave the reasons, so I never used the word boycott. We’re not coming. Everyone else can do what they want to do.”
Thanks. I think I’m going to watch from home … maybe order a pizza, I don’t know.
