Can’t take a nap on the golf course.

President Barack Obama met Saturday with his national security team in the aftermath of the San Bernardino, California, shootings that claimed 14 lives.

A meeting that suggests things must be serious, because Saturday‘s have taken on an almost exclusive purpose around the Obama White House — golf outings.

But the president passed on hitting the links — the expected high in Washington on Saturday was a biting 54 degrees — to focus on the threat of terrorism, according to reports.

But cynical Americans aren’t easily impressed with the sacrifice, given Obama’s track record. Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter that suggest things must be real serious — tongue-in-cheek — for the president to forego his favorite pastime:
